Wood, spray paint, and fabric?
You bet!
This challenge was a little daunting,
but then I had an light bulb flash earlier this week.
I had been seeing miniature beds used as infant photography props
for awhile now, but I wanted to do something that had more versatility.
I have a gazillion variations going in my mind,
So cute as a prop for chunky cherubs like Jules,
and still big enough for toddlers like Isa.
I can't wait to see in this shoot with a tiny newborn.
So fun!!

It's adorable... makes for great photographs. Of course, the cute models help.
That is really cute! I could even see it as a baby doll bed (for those that aren't photographers - although my 20 month old would still get in it!)

Thanks ladies! Yes I was blessed with the best models =0)
And Jessica, I love that idea of using it as a doll bed. I'll have to set it up for my toddler and see what she thinks!
SOOOO cute! I love storage containers, and was already plotting what I'd put in there. :) It makes a super cute photo prop, though! I am sad that no one else got to join in!
So, last night I was laying in bed thinking about this week's WOW. I kept thinking of lucky pennies, but was trying to come up with another idea. Then, my baby made a sleepy noise and made me think of how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family and baby. All of a sudden, I had the song "Pennies From Heaven" in my head. I started thinking of the great picture I would paint or draw if I were good at that kind of thing. I couldn't get the idea out of my head and decided to just give it a try.
So, here it is. I suppose it is a mixed media piece. I already packed up my crayons and colored pencils but managed to round up a pencil and drew up the picture while laying in bed. This morning, I 'colored' it with computer spraypaint. :)

Jen, I so love your dedication during a move! Thanks so much =0)
It's a great thing to not feel like I'm talking to myself on my blog..lol
And I really love your mixed media project. Children are such a blessing, aren't they?
Love it!! Hope all is well ;o)
Okay, this may not be the craftiest of projects, but it's something I've been wanting to do for a while.
When I was little I remember my mom making a paper crane garland for me and hanging it on my headboard. She said it was for luck. Now I would like to make one for my little girl. Here's a picture of my first crane. =D

Origami is a form of art! It is DEFINITELY a craft! My brother and dad used to tease me about "paper folding" when I was little...all because I had to explain to them what origami was. :)
Your crane is beautiful! And the story behind it is, too!
Here's my lucky piece...
